I found more interesting gyms in Lubbock than I expected so it took a while to narrow down the best options worth talking about.
But whether you’re moving to Lubbock or just curious, the weighing up is done: here are Hub City’s 5 best gyms.
The Best Gyms In Lubbock Are:
- Pro Fitness – Best Gym Overall
- Tru Fit Athletic Club – Best For General Fitness & Facilities
- F45 – Best Group Fitness Classes
- LBK FIT – Best For CrossFit
- Fit Body Boot Camp – Best For Personal Training & Community
One of these is a hidden gem and another has a monthly price you’ll struggle to believe.
So make sure to check out why I chose these gyms below along with the benefits, drawbacks, and prices! As usual, I give you all the key details to save you time.
Does Lubbock Have Good Gyms?
Lubbock offers a nice mixture of fitness franchises and independent gyms.
So there’s something for everyone here. There are even a handful of specialty gyms to find in Lubbock, including personal training gyms, boxing gyms, and CrossFit gyms.
Gyms In Lubbock: 5 Best Options
1. Pro Fitness – Best Gym Overall
- Website: https://profitnesslubbock.com/
- Address: 7201 Marsha Sharp Fwy, Lubbock
- Hours: 24 hours
- Price: $24/mo
- Sign up fees: None
- No lock-in contracts: Available
- Free trial: None
- Group fitness: None
Picking Lubbock’s best gym overall came between this gym and One Fitness Lubbock.
But Pro Fitness took the prize for its better facility and cheaper membership prices. It’s the full package for gym heads, offering 24-hour access and an awesome outdoor workout space.
What Are The Gym Benefits?
Pro Fitness has top-notch equipment and machines, including squat racks, weightlifting bars and plates, a full rack of dumbbells, punching bag, turf section – you name it.
It’s old-school with a modern feel, topped off with an outdoor space that has a Muscle Beach vibe.
It’s open 24/7 so it’s perfect if you know what you’re doing and want to avoid crowds. It’s even ideal for beginners, as personal training is available.
And with its affordable, no-nonsense membership, Pro Fitness is well worth considering over Lubbock’s other gyms.
What Do You Need To Know Before Purchasing A Membership?
It’s a 24-hour gym that costs $24 a month. Coincidence? Who knows but it’s hard to argue with that price.
Personal training costs $50 per session.
Being a locally owned gym, I doubt there are any fees or difficult cancellation policies.
Are There Any Drawbacks?
Just the one: Pro Fitness doesn’t have many cardio machines.
Who Should Work Out Here?
Gym regulars who don’t like chain gyms. Also beginners looking for attentive personal training. But if you like to do as much cardio as strength training, you might want to consider other options first.
2. Tru Fit Athletic Club – Best For General Fitness & Facilities
- Website: https://trufitathleticclubs.com/
- Address: 3 locations in Lubbock (34th St, 82nd St, and 4th St)
- Hours: Monday–Friday 24 hours, Saturday–Sunday 7am–9pm
- Price: Memberships from $10/mo
- Sign up fees: None
- No lock-in contracts: Available
- Free trial: 7 days
- Group fitness: Extensive
TruFit is a fitness club that costs $10 a month. That’s the Basic membership, but it’s still a bargain considering what this place offers: large complete gyms, daily group fitness classes, and facilities that include saunas, pools, massage therapy, and childcare.
What Are The Gym Benefits?
Tru Fit is an all-in-one fitness center that’s perfect if you want to hit the gym, enjoy facilities, and join some classes on the side.
The gyms are big, modern, and fully equipped, and the classes are diverse – some including Zumba, Barre, Cycle, Strong, Yoga, and Body Pump.
It’s worth mentioning that not every Tru Fit location in Lubbock has the same facilities (such as a pool) but on the two top memberships—Essentials and Results+—you can access all locations.
And the best thing here is that the memberships cost less than most gyms!
What Do You Need To Know Before Purchasing A Membership?
There are three memberships: Basic, Essentials, and Results+.
The big differences are that Essentials gives you access to classes and massage services while Results+ gives you the same as Essentials but with childcare, guest privileges, and Tru Power HIIT classes.
Basic doesn’t include the above and limits you to one Tru Fit club.
So what’s the cost? Basic is $10/mo, Essentials is $23/mo, and Results+ is $33/mo. There’s a $49 annual fee billed after 60 days. To cancel, give 45 days’ notice.
Want to check the place out? Tru Fit has a nice 7-day free trial.
Are There Any Drawbacks?
TruFit has three locations in Lubbock but they’re all located on the outskirts – not totally convenient if you live centrally.
Who Should Work Out Here?
Fitness enthusiasts who like a bit of everything: gym workouts, classes, and sports/recovery facilities. TruFit is also an easy choice if you’re on a budget!
The only reason to avoid is if you live in central Lubbock and want something closer.
3. F45 – Best Group Fitness Classes
- Website: https://f45training.com/westlubbock/home
- Address: 6620 Milwaukee Ave, Lubbock
- Hours: Class-based schedule
- Price: Memberships from $37.89 per week
- Sign up fees: N/A
- No lock-in contracts: Available
- Free trial: 7 days (local residents only)
- Group fitness: Extensive
You’ve probably heard of F45 Training – the boot camp franchise known for its large group HIIT workouts.
The classes are hard, but fun. And if you’re fully motivated to build strength and lose weight fast, this is the place to get it done.
What Are The Gym Benefits?
F45 offers 45-minute functional HIIT workouts that involve bodyweight exercises, free weights, and machines.
It’s all about high intensity here with instructors that will push you. It’s simple and effective, overall, especially if you lack a routine and want to burn calories.
In fact, the aim of all F45 workouts is to burn up to 750 calories. Paired with their free nutrition program, this can be a quick way to shed body fat in a short amount of time.
The bonus is the community. F45 workouts often involve lots of people, so you’ll also make friends and get support – ideal if you need constant encouragement and motivation.
What Do You Need To Know Before Purchasing A Membership?
Unlike other F45 locations, this one doesn’t disclose its prices (thankfully). Annual membership is $37.89 weekly, and 6-month membership is $43.30 weekly, and month-to-month membership is $48.71 weekly.
These all provide unlimited classes at this specific location. You can also bag a 7-day free trial if you’re new and local.
Are There Any Drawbacks?
The rates are weekly, so yep – it’s quite expensive here. Another thing is that while beginners can join (and are welcomed), expect to be pushed to your limit.
Who Should Work Out Here?
Want to lose weight ASAP? F45 is well worth looking at. It’s also great if you need encouragement and like the idea of being part of a local fitness community.
If high-intensity workouts sound too much, though, consider other options first.
4. LBK FIT – Best For CrossFit
- Website: https://lbkfit.com/
- Address: 3115 34th Street, Lubbock
- Hours: Class-based schedule (with open gym), Monday–Saturday
- Price: N/A
- Sign up fees: N/A
- No lock-in contracts: Available

CrossFit Lubbock and LBK Fit are easily Lubbock’s best CrossFit gyms, but LBK Fit comes out on top for its streamlined class programs and digital workout tracking – there’s plenty of open gym access and data tracking is provided using MyZone heart rate monitors.
What Are The Gym Benefits?
One of the best ways to organize your effort level and achieve results—especially weight loss—is by tracking your heart rate – and that’s what LBK Fit offers.
Members get to use MyZone heart rate monitors while working out, with all data viewable using Wodify.
Another big bonus here is the schedule. The two class programs, FIT30 and FIT60, can be picked based on intensity and convenience, totalling up to 7 classes per day complete with open gym access.
LBK FIT is a legit CrossFit facility too, with an exciting community.
What Do You Need To Know Before Purchasing A Membership?
LBK FIT doesn’t publicly list its prices, but this seems pretty standard for CrossFit gyms in Lubbock. Good news is you can schedule a free visit if you’re interested in learning more.
Are There Any Drawbacks?
Putting aside the disclosed prices, none.
Who Should Work Out Here?
Anyone who does CrossFit or is interested in starting. If you need fitness support and want to be part of a friendly community, these are more reasons to check LBK FIT out. Otherwise, you’re better off looking for something else.
5. Fit Body Boot Camp – Best For Personal Training & Community
- Website: https://fitnesslubbock.com/
- Address: 5207 98th St #400, Lubbock
- Hours: Class-based schedule, Monday–Saturday
- Price: $19 per week
- Sign up fees: None

- Free trial: None
- Group fitness: Extensive
Fit Body Boot Camp is a hidden gem for beginners who’ve never exercised before. It’s a local, family-like bootcamp with members from all walks of life, offering convenient 30-minute classes to improve fitness and physique. Overall?
Lubbock’s best place to start working out.
What Are The Gym Benefits?
Exercising for the first time comes with several struggles, such as not knowing what to do and fear of being judged. Fit Body Bootcamp is a solution to that.
The classes are short yet effective, welcoming and encouraging people of all ages, abilities, and body shapes.
There are up to 8 daily classes here (Monday to Saturday), held in a well-equipped facility that has pull up bars, kettlebells, med balls, dumbbells, TRX straps, bands, and parallettes.
As a result, the workouts here focus on bodyweight and resistance, making them accessible yet challenging enough to get you stronger and fitter.
What Do You Need To Know Before Purchasing A Membership?
The membership is essentially joining a program and Fit Body Bootcamp offers these throughout the year. These usually cost $167 (in total), but the current offer lets you sign up for $19 per week.
It’s not a contract, though, so you can cancel anytime.
Are There Any Drawbacks?
It’s located on the outskirts of Lubbock, so not ideal if you live centrally. You also need to grab your spot in the available programs or wait until the next one if it’s sold out.
Who Should Work Out Here?
Beginners, especially those who haven’t worked out before and struggle with exercise routines, motivation, or the fear of being judged.
This place probably isn’t for you, however, if you already have a good idea of what to do in the gym.
Note: If you’re looking for more fitness resources, a sports VPN can help you access content from different regions, giving you a broader range of workout options and tips.
