5 Best Gyms In Frisco - Texas

Does Frisco Have Good Gyms?

Frisco has fitness chains (Planet Fitness, Anytime Fitness, F45, Orangetheory, Crunch Fitness), boutique fitness studios, and fitness centers – including the famous Cowboys Fit gym at The Star.

But if you like weightlifting gyms, this is what Frisco lacks.

Gyms In Frisco: 5 Best Options

1. Burn Boot Camp – Best Boutique Fitness Studio

Burn Boot Camp
  • Website: https://burnbootcamp.com/locations/frisco-TX/
  • Address: 3288 Main Street, Suite 105, Frisco
  • Hours: Monday–Saturday 5am–7:30pm
  • Price: N/A
  • Sign up fees: N/A
  • No lock-in contracts: Available
  • Free trial: 7 days
  • Group fitness: Extensive

Burnt Boot Camp is a boutique fitness studio franchise that delivers 45-minute HIIT workouts designed to burn calories and build strength.

Think of it like Orangetheory except a bit more exclusive – the classes are smaller and the studios have a more premium feel.

What Are The Gym Benefits?

Burn Boot Camp is the place to go if you want to get in shape quickly and don’t mind high-energy, challenging group workouts.

It’s a boutique bootcamp where the instructors motivate and push you, with a fitness community that feels like a family.

Each workout is a 15-minute warm-up followed by 45 minutes of dynamic HIIT involving bodyweight exercises and free weights.

It might sound daunting but classes are open to all fitness levels. Plus, you can even enjoy a 7-day free trial to get a feel before you join.

What Do You Need To Know Before Purchasing A Membership?

Prices “vary by location” so Burn Boot Camp wants you to contact your local studio to find out your options.

1-month, 6-month, 12-month, and 18-month unlimited memberships are available, though, along with 5 or 8-class Camp Packs (billed monthly), and 10 or 20 drop-in Fit Cards.

Are There Any Drawbacks?

Need I say it? The disclosed prices.

Who Should Work Out Here?

Anyone who likes group fitness classes and is 100% ready to push their limits to get fitter.

If you think that sounds too intimidating, however, do the free trial first or start small at a regular gym. Or if you don’t like hidden prices, check out Orangetheory Frisco instead!

2. Frisco Athletic Center – Best Fitness Club & Swimming Pool

Frisco Athletic Center
  • Website: https://www.friscotexas.gov/fac
  • Address: 5825 Nancy Jane Lane, Frisco
  • Hours: Monday–Friday 5am–9pm, Saturday 6:30am–6pm, Sunday 8:30am–6pm
  • Price: Memberships from $45/mo
  • Sign up fees: None
  • No lock-in contracts: Available
  • Free trial: None
  • Group fitness: Extensive

Frisco Athletic Center is huge. It’s as much a local attraction as it is a fitness center, boasting a water park in addition to gyms, sports courts, group fitness, and personal training.

For general fitness for gym-goers, seniors, and families, this one’s definitely worth considering.

What Are The Gym Benefits?

First things first, there are two gyms here with over 240 machines plus free weights and functional fitness training areas.

Group fitness classes run all week (spin, strength circuit, bellydance, Pilates/yoga), with two fitness studios that can be combined into one.

The indoor aquatic center offers diverse water aerobic classes and swim lessons for all ages in a 25-yard lap pool.

As for the water park, it’s included in the membership so it’s a big bonus if you have kids. Childcare is also available here if you need space to work out!

What Do You Need To Know Before Purchasing A Membership?

FAC offers a lot of options. For resident adults, monthly auto-draft membership is $45, month-to-month is $50, and annual membership is $450.

For non-local adults, monthly auto-draft membership is $70, month-to-month is $75, and annual membership is $700.

For resident families, monthly auto-draft membership is $70 and annual membership is $700.

For non-local families, monthly auto-draft membership is $105 and annual membership is $1050. Families are classed as five people of the same residency.

The same options are also available with discounts for seniors and adult couples.

Are There Any Drawbacks?

None – this is a large all-in-one fitness center with straight-up membership prices and the bonus of a water park attraction for families.

Who Should Work Out Here?

Fitness enthusiasts who want a complete fitness center. It’s also ideal if you have kids or live with a senior citizen who likes to swim.

But if you want a more exclusive club with premium facilities and fewer kids running around, I’d look at Life Time Frisco instead.

3. Conquer Fitness – Best For Personal Training

Conquer Fitness
  • Website: https://www.conquerfitnessfrisco.com/
  • Address: 4691 Ohio Drive, Suite 110, Frisco
  • Hours: Monday–Friday 5am–8pm, Saturday–Sunday 8am–1pm
  • Price: N/A
  • Sign up fees: N/A
  • No lock-in contracts: Available
  • Free trial: Free consultation
  • Group fitness: Limited

Conquer Fitness is a private boutique gym that offers small group, 1-on-1, and semi-private training, plus physical therapy.

And with qualified trainers who will help you at each stage, it’s Frisco’s best choice if you need a personal fitness or rehab program that guarantees results.

What Are The Gym Benefits?

Put simply, if you need help with fitness goals, workout routines, or injuries, Conquer Fitness is where you’re going to get the best help.

As a private gym, it’s dedicated to its clients and members so the attention and service you’ll get will be second to none.

The range of training services is great, giving you a choice of working out in a group, with one or two other people, or with a trainer 1-on-1, depending on your goals and preferences.

The physical therapy and dry needling services are a bonus, which not all gyms offer.

What Do You Need To Know Before Purchasing A Membership?

Conquer Fitness doesn’t openly list its prices and plans, which is understandable in this case since it’s a private training gym.

Through a free consultation, the team will work with you to come up with a personal program that will also suit your budget.

Are There Any Drawbacks?

None – this is Frisco’s best gym for private training and injury rehabilitation in my opinion.

Who Should Work Out Here?

If you need a personalized program to keep you on track, achieve your fitness goals, or recover from an injury, Conquer Fitness is definitely worth visiting for a consultation.

Otherwise, there’s no real reason for you to go here to put it simply.

4. Crunch Fitness – Best For General Fitness

Crunch Fitness
  • Website: https://www.crunch.com/locations/frisco
  • Address: 3865 Preston Rd, Frisco
  • Hours: Monday–Thursday 4am–12am, Friday 4am–10pm, Saturday–Sunday 7am–8pm
  • Price: Memberships from $9.99/mo
  • Sign up fees: $19-49 enrollment fee (for Base and Peak memberships) and $10 processing fee
  • No lock-in contracts: Available
  • Free trial: 3 days
  • Group fitness: Extensive

I have to say that Crunch Fitness Frisco is a step up from most Crunch gyms.

It’s massive with ample cardio and strength training machines, a fully equipped functional fitness area, diverse daily group fitness classes, and great post-workout facilities to take advantage of.

What Are The Gym Benefits?

The big benefit here is that this Crunch Fitness location is a playground for any kind of training style or need.

No matter whether you do cardio, strength, functional fitness, boxing, or even powerlifting and Olympic weightlifting, this large gym has what you need.

There’s also a nice variety of group fitness classes (around 10 daily on weekdays) and relaxation and recovery facilities that include HydroMassage, tanning, saunas, and steam rooms.

The best thing? Even the top membership is super affordable.

What Do You Need To Know Before Purchasing A Membership?

There are three memberships at Crunch: Base ($9.99 monthly with annual commitment or $14.99 monthly), Peak ($21.99 monthly with annual commitment or $26.99 monthly), and Peak Results ($29.99 monthly with annual commitment or $34.99 monthly).

Base lets you work out at one Crunch gym—no classes or facilities—while Peak lets you visit and join group classes at any Crunch gym.

Peak Results is the full package, giving you access to any Crunch gym, group fitness classes, and facilities, plus guest privileges.

There’s a $49 enrollment fee for both Base memberships, $29 enrollment fee for Peak monthly, and $19 enrollment fee for Peak with annual commitment.

All memberships have a processing fee of $10. There’s also an annual fee of $54.11, plus taxes.

Are There Any Drawbacks?

It’s big, but you can still expect this popular Frisco gym to get crowded during peak times. Crunch’s endless fees are also a drawback.

Who Should Work Out Here?

Anyone who wants a large, fully equipped gym for any kind of fitness goal or training style.  It’s also ideal for the group fitness classes, chill-out facilities, and budget-friendly price.

I’d avoid, though, if you don’t like lots of fees or gyms that can get pretty crowded.

5. Cowboys Fit Frisco – Best Gym & Facilities

Cowboys Fit Frisco
  • Website: https://cowboysfit.com/
  • Address: 5 Cowboys Way, Frisco
  • Hours: Monday–Thursday 5am–10pm, Friday 5am–9pm, Saturday–Sunday 7am–7pm
  • Price: Memberships from $96.34/mo
  • Sign up fees: $99
  • No lock-in contracts: Available
  • Free trial: Guest pass
  • Group fitness: Extensive

Dallas Cowboys HQ is a given. It’s a luxurious 60,000-square-foot fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, boutique group fitness classes, and personal training, making it Frisco’s top choice if you want nothing but the best fitness experience.

What Are The Gym Benefits?

Cowboys Fit Frisco is used by the Dallas Cowboys so it goes without saying that this fitness center is large, pristine, and fully equipped.

Alongside generous machines and weights, it has a complete functional fitness area and several Olympic weightlifting platforms.

Group fitness classes here are diverse with up to 12 daily classes (Monday to Saturday).

As for the facilities, these are simply world-class and include a rooftop lap pool, saunas, outdoor turf area, and Recovery Lounge for HydroMassage, Cryotherapy, and NormaTec sessions.

What Do You Need To Know Before Purchasing A Membership?

There are two main memberships:

  • Individual ($96.34/mo) gives you access to the Cowboys Fit Frisco gym, classes, and facilities. You also get one free HydroMassage, Cryotherapy, and NormaTec session (each).
  • All-Inclusive ($147.34) gives you access to any Cowboys Fit location (gym, classes, and facilities) with unlimited HydroMassage, Cryotherapy, and NormaTec sessions.

For both memberships there’s a $99 join fee plus a $53.04 annual fee.

Are There Any Drawbacks?

It’s Dallas Cowboys HQ, so it isn’t cheap!

Who Should Work Out Here?

I’d recommend this one to dedicated athletes who need top-notch equipment, facilities, and as many recovery sessions as workout sessions.

But if you’re not yet 100% committed to working out and won’t take advantage of all the facilities, the price simply won’t be worth it.
