There are drop-in rates, class packs, and memberships here – so it’s super flexible.

A single session costs $25. 10 sessions are $200, 25 sessions are $400, and 50 sessions (with 5 free sessions thrown in) are $750.

Memberships, which provide unlimited classes, are $200 month-to-month or $150/mo for 6 months. The 6-month membership has a $25 registration fee.

HIIT is challenging – especially for total beginners. The studio is quite big, but some people might also find these classes crowded.

Programs include CrossTraining, Strength & Cardio, Weightlifting, and Powerlifting, plus On Ramp orientations for beginners. So there’s something for every training style and fitness level, no matter whether you want to lift, start CrossFit, or do a bit of everything!

The bonus is that this facility is top-notch. It’s large and rigged out with Rogue equipment, power racks, gymnastic rings, sled pushes – you name it. Each coach is certified in their field, and the schedule provides a generous mix of classes and open gym (off hours) access.

What Do You Need To Know Before Purchasing A Membership?

First of all, the orientations (3 1-on-1 CrossTraining, weightlifting, or powerlifting sessions) cost $200.

Memberships are priced at $175/mo for Bronze (2 classes per week), $200/mo for Silver (3 classes per week), and $225/mo for Gold (5 classes per week). These also include off hours open gym access.

But if all you want is open gym access, that’s $150/mo.

This gym might be small but its community is big. It’s as much a local club as it is a gym, offering an inclusive atmosphere with machines and equipment for all kinds of strength training, including Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, and Strongman.

So if you’re into any of those, you’ll have everything you need here – from tires and atlas stones to power racks and heavy-duty plates! You’ll also benefit from this gym’s close-knit community, where you’re sure to make friends and feel supported, even if you’re a beginner.

What Do You Need To Know Before Purchasing A Membership?

It’s nice and simple here: $90 month-to-month with no contract or fees, or $25 to drop in (90-minute session).

Personal training is $120 per 75-minute session or $599 for 6 hours.

Are There Any Drawbacks?

It’s a small gym so it might get crowded. And even though its specialty is strength training, I’m not sure there are enough resistance machines here to satisfy bodybuilders.

Who Should Work Out Here?

GSG is an easy choice for powerlifters and Strongman athletes who prefer old-school weightlifting gyms. Beginners set on starting Strongman or powerlifting should also consider the personal training. If none of those apply, this gym simply isn’t for you.

5. Blink Fitness – Best For Beginners & Affordability

Blink Fitness is one of two chain gyms in Crown Heights—the other being Crunch—but Blink wins (slightly) for its cheaper base membership. It’s also better for beginners, offering a simple selection of machines and equipment in a clean, organized gym.

What Are The Gym Benefits?

Blink Crown Heights has plenty of cardio and resistance machines and a good variety of dumbbells and weighted barbells. So it’s really great for beginners, as the machines are user-friendly and a lot of the weights provide fixed amounts.

This gym is also clean, organized, and nicely spaced out, with a matted area for HIIT and stretching. Other perks are the clean locker rooms, 

What Do You Need To Know Before Purchasing A Membership?

Orange is a single-club membership that costs $10/mo with 12 month commitment. Blue is $25/mo with no commitment and Green is $32/mo with 12 month commitment.

So what do you get for the Blue and Green memberships? Blue gives you access to 90+ locations while Green gives you 100+ locations. Both of these also let you bring a guest.

All memberships don’t include taxes and have a $56.99 annual maintenance fee.

Are There Any Drawbacks?

The gym hours vary throughout the week. So if you sign up, just make sure you don’t turn up when it’s closed.

Another drawback is that if you only need to use one club (Orange membership), you have to tie yourself in for 12 months.

Who Should Work Out Here?

Beginners and first-time gym users who are on a tight budget. But if you don’t want to commit for 12 months or won’t visit multiple Blink locations, you’ll want to weigh up other gym memberships (check out Crunch Fitness Crown Heights instead).
