Weekend only membership (from Friday 4pm) is $29.99 month-to-month with a $49 enrollment fee.
Boxing memberships are also available for $119 month-to-month with a $99 enrollment fee, or 12 months for $99/mo with a $49 enrollment fee – both providing gym access.
Are There Any Drawbacks?
The enrollment fees – which are most expensive for the month-to-month (no commitment) memberships.
Who Should Work Out Here?
Pro athletes, functional fitness enthusiasts, and anyone who likes to recover as much as work out! Hidden Gym is also worth considering if you like boutique gyms with a sense of community. But if you prefer machines over functional fitness, you’ll want to look elsewhere.

There aren’t many CrossFit gyms in Allen but CrossFit Ammo is the one to look at if you’re interested in CrossFit training and the sense of community that comes with it. This gym might look old school, but it offers a full class schedule with members that are like family.
What Are The Gym Benefits?
No matter your fitness level, CrossFit Ammo offers 60-minute group classes, personal training services, foundations programs, and nutrition plans that cater to all. And with attentive trainers and members from all walks of life, total newbies won’t feel out of place.
The facility itself is spacious and fully equipped for CrossFit, with an old-school look that only adds to its authenticity. The best thing, though, is the class schedule from 5am up to 7:30pm (up to 8 classes on weekdays), mixed in with daily open gym sessions.
What Do You Need To Know Before Purchasing A Membership?
Memberships are tailored, so CrossFit Ammo wants you to meet one of their coaches and create a plan (free intro) before giving you the prices. This is pretty normal for a lot of CrossFit gyms.
If you just want to drop in, though, it’s $25 per class.
Are There Any Drawbacks?
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: not having an idea of how much you’re going to pay is a definite drawback.
Who Should Work Out Here?
Anyone who does, or is interested in starting, CrossFit. If you don’t like large group workouts or booking consultations to find out prices, however, you’ll want to look elsewhere.

Let’s face it: most of us don’t stretch as much as we should. And that makes StretchLab one of Allen’s gyms worth talking about. This boutique chain was founded in 2015, offering 25- and 50-minute stretching sessions with a professional instructor (“Flexologist”).
What Are The Gym Benefits?
Increased mobility and flexibility are things that will benefit gym workouts—even everyday movements—by providing greater range of motion to achieve deeper reps. So if you lack mobility or don’t know how to stretch properly, StretchLab can help you out.
This studio offers one-on-one and group (6 people) stretching sessions that are either 25 or 50 minutes long. The good thing is that the sessions can be tailored to your needs (including intensity level), and are available by drop-in or monthly memberships.
What Do You Need To Know Before Purchasing A Membership?
Prices at StretchLab vary by location.
But to give you a general idea of the rates, it’s $169/mo for 4 25-minute monthly sessions, $289/mo for 4 50-minute monthly sessions, $299/mo for 8 25-minute monthly sessions, and $539/mo for 8 50-minute monthly sessions.
Some locations also offer your first 50-minute stretch for $49.
Are There Any Drawbacks?
The disclosed prices.
Who Should Work Out Here?
This place is ideal (even for a few drop-in sessions) if you do sports, CrossFit, calisthenics, Barre, and Pilates. It’s also worth looking into if you’re a gym regular. StretchLab is not for people with injuries, however, as the instructors are not physical therapists!
