I shuttled into Kira’s abs class after she had already taught both the Stoked Primal and Stoked 360 classes, and I was approximately the only person there who hadn’t spent the last 90 minutes under her supervision. The ladies who love Kira… LOVE Kira. I was in a class next door for the hour before – and noticed that she had taken the hoards of fit Upper West women on a field trip mid-class: to the track maybe? Love this.
On the class:
A 30 minute abs class.
- Well structured with some creative moves.
- Kira repeated several times the importance of doing standing abdominal
exercises as well as floor-based ones.
- Kira's not afraid of heavy weights, a quality I dig in female instructors. “Grab a
medicine ball … the ones we have here only go to 6 pounds, which kind of
sucks.. grab something heavier when you do this on the floor.”
Kira is rrrrripped. She’s tiny but she’s 100% muscle. The abs popping out of her tumtum are whoa.
Kira’s a very straightforward, no BS kinda gal. She’s not going to sugar you up and give you a shoulder massage, but if you come often she is going to recognize you and learn your name.
I need to return for one of the signature classes to give a better opinion. Kira was a bit flustered because she had to run to another Sports Club LA class all the way across town right after the abs class. Reebok, learn to schedule your instructors!
